I buried her in a tomb underground
She screamed and fought,
But I whispered, “hush, hush,”
“It is time to lock you away.”

“The society applauds me,
They all like the new me,
In order to adapt
We must destroy what we love.”

We wrestled, we clawed,
But in the end she gave up,
I was able to hide her away.

At times, I could still hear her,
crying, asking for help,
Now, there is no crying today.

It has been so long now
That I finally looked back,
Dug up the grave again.

But to my disappointment,
Her skeleton faded to dust.

I cannot remember her face anymore.
